Trashed Art:
Remake, Reuse and Renew

Since 8th grade, I always had a passion for making art, especially out of recycled materials and for climate change related topics. The first piece I made was an owl with sunflower seed shells. It opened a new door for me and challenged me to find innovative ways to protect our oceans from climate change. A portrait of Vincent van Gogh using sunflower seed shells; a recreation of the Scream (by Edvard Munch) made on poster board with pine needles; a skeletal samurai made from a used kitchen ceiling light fixture. I'm thinking outside the box and turning garbage into something unique and beautiful.
